Polka dot card

The challenge this week on StampTV is to use polka dots. I decided to make my first shaker card! I am also entering this in the Mod Squad Challenge - Anything Goes.

I stamped my image and coloured it with Spectrum Noir markers. I used a piece of packaging to contain my shaker material and covered the card with the patterned paper that I trimmed with a piece of ribbon. I cut the oval for my sentiment and matted it with a scalloped oval die cut that I coloured with a matching marker.

I used the following products:

Gina K. Designs Cold Snap patterned paper; Birthday Blessings stamp set
Spectrum Noir White cardstock
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Spectrum Noir markers: PP6, BP4, BP6
Creative Memories Oval Cutting system
Spellbinders Nestibilities Big Scalloped Ovals die
ribbon and shaker material from my stash

Winter Birthday card

I needed a card for my niece's birthday so I thought I would incorporate a few challenges in it. I am entering Friday Funday Challenge at the StampTV Kit Addicts Group - Cutaway, Anything Goes Mod Squad Challenge, Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Winter Wonderland and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Make it Sparkle.

For the cutaway challenge, you stamp on the outside, cut out around the edge of your stamping and then line up your stamps on the inside. I started with a piece of blue cardstock, stamped my images with Versamark and embossed. I drew a straight line between the snowflakes, carefully cut around the snowflakes and along the line between the snowflakes and erased any line still showing. I then stamped and embossed the snowflakes on the inside of the front. I lined the inside of the back of the card with a piece of white cardstock and stamped a few snowflakes on the edge to be visible when the card is closed. I stamped the sentiment and the card was finished.

For this project I used:
Gina K Designs Snow Frame stamp set, Happy Birthday to You stamp set
Versamark watermark ink
ColorBox Blue pigment ink
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Recollections embossing powder Glitz and Snow
blue and white cardstock from my stash

Quick Tag

Our challenge this week on StampTV was to make a quick and easy tag or thank you card. Quick and easy fit my schedule perfectly.

I started with some Gina K white cardstock, used the Stampin' Up! tag top punch and then used Versamark ink to stamp the tree and sentiment, both from Sentimental Holiday stamp set. I embossed the tree with Stampendous Country Meadow embossing powder and the sentiment with Recollections Ruby embossing powder. I sponged the edges with ColorBox Cranberry ink and threaded a ribbon through the hole.

5 Colour Card

This is a card for the latest release challenge at StampTV. The challenge is to have at least 5 colours on our card. Here is my submission:

I used my homemade stamp positioning tool to stamp the flower border in 5 different colours. I added score lines above and below the borders and at the bottom the same distance from the top. Then I stamped the sentiment in between the scored lines.

I used the following products:
Gina K Designs stamp sets: Love You More, Especially For You.
Gina K Designs ink: Prickly Pear, Grass Green.
Stampin' Up! ink: Cherry Cobbler, Pacific Point, Elegant Eggplant.
Memento ink: Tuxedo Black.
